form drop off

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

is it ok to to drop re-evaluation forms for a person who already receives SSDI ,meaning does the social security office have a Drop Box for forms. My due date for these is this Saturday .Can i call and let somebody know, the forms are filled out already and mail them without late penalties etc. or my benefits being threatened?

Hello! Most offices have drop boxes you can use, but, you may wish to wait and speak with someone at your local SSA office. Make sure to get a receipt, so you have proof you dropped your forms off. If you mail your documents, there are no promises that they will reach the Social Security office. You may have some type of penalty on your benefits if it doesn't arrive to the SSA on time. I would give the SSA a call for more information at 1-800-772-1213.

Hi Kyle,

All SSA office locations are closed. You can check the SSA site and do a search for offices near you to see what resources are listed and if there is information on where to submit your paperwork.
