Had my hearing October 2018 after waiting since July 2016. Online status says: "Post-hearing Review

Your hearing was held. The Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) is reviewing your case, and we are developing for any additional evidence before the ALJ issues a decision. A Social Security Representative may contact you or your appointed representative if we need any additional documents or information." What does this mean?

Hello. This means that they need to gather more medical evidence before making a decision on whether or not you qualify for disability. However, this process can take anywhere from 12-18 months.
