IF my child received an SSI overpayment, and they are taking a mall amount monthly to pay it back, and his benefits stop before he pays the full overpayment back, what happens then?
And if I am on disability, can the legally hold back a portion of my disability to pay back his overpayment?

You may be obligated to complete the repayment regardless of your child's eligibility for benefits.
They may not be able to garnish your disability benefits, however you may want to contact your local SSA office regarding that.
