I received a paper check for ssi and it said required to set up direct deposit. I set up the proper checking account but forgot to get a copy of the check for ssi to start but have all the checking account numbers, etc. will I receive a paper check again next month that i can copy to start the direct deposit process?

Hi Jane,
You may still need another paper check. I would call the SSA at 1-800-772-1213, they can help replace he one that was lost.

Hi Pearlie,
I'm not really sure what you're referring to reply changes, but if you need to respond to some communications from the SSA, they generally specify a response time in the communication.

Hi Connie,
It may be a good idea to contact the SSA regarding this, they can help make sure you get your benefits on time.

Hi Connie,
if they are unable to do direct deposit for your first check, they may mail you information about how to get your disability benefits.

Hi Frankie,
If the grandmother in question is not ensuring that those benefits are used for your girlfriend's son's benefits, you may want to contact the SSA and have them change his representative payee.

Hi there,
It may be a good idea to contact the SSA again, they may not have paid the funds to the correct account, if your child is still otherwise eligible for benefits.
