Denied 8 yrs, ago. Will it count?

I applied for ssi around 7 or 8 years ago. My questions are as followed. Will they count that denial as if I'm appealing. Or will they consider that too far back? And, what could I expect on back pay? Thank you for your time and help, much appreciated.

Hi, Your application from 7 years ago does not count as a denial. After a SSI denial an applicant only has 60 days to appeal.  For SSI, back pay goes back to the date of your original application for benefits.
