Hi there,
I would not worry, just make sure that the SSA has the needed information about your case.

My wife was informed during her phone interview that she was not eligible for SSI due to my disability benefits. She has been deemed 100% disabled. Is this a common practice with the Social Security Office?

Hi George,

To qualify for SSI, not only do you have to meet the medical requirements but you also have to meet technical requirements. For SSI, you need to be within a certain household income limit. It's likely that your benefits exceed this income limit. If your wife has worked 5 of the last 10 years, then she might qualify for SSDI which looks at work credits rather than income limits!
