Does anybody know whether that SSI back pay comes on a certain day of the month? I got my first installment the same week I was approved for SSI it came on the same day I got my first benefit. But I should receive one in January and I'm trying to figure out when I will see it? If anyone has any experience with receiving them in would love to hear about it!

I really can't say for sure if you'll receive it today but if you don't get it by the end of the week I would contact the SSA.

How can I receive my sons back pay sooner ? Due to sheltering costs , I cannot wait until February when his next installment is due . I was told I could get it sooner .

SSI payments are always sent on the first of the month, but if you received your first back pay installment mid-month you'll receive the same this time around.
My son gets SSI and I have
My son gets SSI and I have gotten 2 installments of backpay. One was $2,200 and the other was $3,100. Will he get another one because it will be 6 months in january from the last installment and they never write any letter about his backpay. I don't even know how much they owed him in backpay. I am just wondering if anyone thinks he will get another but I read in a comment that the first two installment can't exceed three times the max monthly SSI payments!? The 3,100 did exceed that since $735 was the max for 2017. He was only getting $633 a month though until November it dropped to $490 a month. He isn't getting the max SSI payments if that matters. So does that mean that he got paid two installments and that is all of his backpay?

Hello, I was just approved for SSI. I got my first deposit and it was no where near what I was told. Will they deposit more at anytime? My back pay looks like it’s gonna be installments. I’ve heard so many different stories on how they pay out back pay or ssi. I’ve waited 3 and a half years. I got first deposit on the 7th I think of this month. I have no clue when I’ll get my next deposit or how much it’ll be or anything. Just sitting here waiting lol so if anyone knows anything pls let me know. Yes I’ve read all the comments. Didn’t help. Hi i got a letter from ssi saying my son is approved and he will get his first monthly check in 01/01/2018 and that hes going to get over 6000 in back pay. That i need to set up direct deposit for him so they can deposit it. Ive gave them all the info on the direct deposit already how much longer is it going to be till they deposit his back pay?
