Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)

Hi All

My mother's health is failing and I want to change my payee from her to my brother. Can this be done online or do I have to go into an office? Would my brother have to go as well since he works and could not get the time? If not what info would I need from him to change my payee to him?

is it ok to to drop re-evaluation forms for a person who already receives SSDI ,meaning does the social security office have a Drop Box for forms. My due date for these is this Saturday .Can i call and let somebody know, the forms are filled out already and mail them without late penalties etc. or my benefits being threatened?

I'm 33, disabled and because of it, forced to live with my parents (my dad is working and earns a good amount of money). I have applied for SSDI. Will it affect my chances of qualifying if Social Security finds out about my living situation?

My sister is disabled. she is receiving ssdi and also has a long term disability check that she receives from an insurance company that she paid into while she was working. Is this considered taxable income?

If I get back pay, will my dependents get back pay as well? And will they automatically receive payments or do I need to apply for them separately?

Was it by letter, online account or seeing a bank deposit?

I am new to this forum and applying for any benefits.
A status change occurred and it said the following:
"A medical decision has been made and we are working to process your benefit application. A Social Security Representative may contact you directly if we need any additional documents or information."

Since the hours and pay are all up to what you do individually, how do we report it to SSDI? And how often? It's confusing trying to research this topic.
