Waco Disability Hearings

Almost 60% of claims in Waco and across the country are denied at the initial level. Most of those individuals who are denied will have to go to the Dallas-Downtown hearing office for a disability hearing. Currently, there are 6,828 pending cases at the Dallas-Downtown Hearing office and the wait time is 360 days.

From October 2012 to January 2013, the Dallas-Downtown Hearing office had 2065 hearings scheduled. Approximately 81.7% of these hearings were either denied or approved. The 13 judges in the Dallas-Downtown office handled about 2.1 dispositions per day, which comes out to about 27 scheduled hearings per day. Approximately 81% of the hearings were held in person and 19% of them through video conferencing, where either the attorney or the claimant was not present.

A Waco disability attorney is almost a necessity during your hearing. During your hearing, you will want to have someone at your side that is familiar with the procedure as well as the specifics associated with the Waco hearing office.

It is highly unlikely that you will be able to get your hearing scheduled quickly. However, if you are facing an extremely difficult situation, you can contact your local congressman to see if it is possible at the below address:
