Ontario, California, is located in Southwestern California, in the southernmost region of San Bernardino County. Its population is over 158,000, making it one of the 20 largest cities in the state of California.

Ontario is home to one of the country’s busiest cargo airports, the LA/Ontario International Airport. The airport is the city’s largest single employer, with more than 7,500 employees on its payroll. Other major employers include UPS (3,500 employees), service industries, Maglight, and the Icee Company.
The city was originally designed as a health spa by enterprising Canadian land developers in the 1800s, but quickly turned to industry in the first half of the 20th Century. The area still has a healthy industrial base which employs a significant percentage of the area’s residents.
Farming, ranching and agriculture are all major industries in the area, particularly the southern part of Ontario. Major agricultural products include dairy, olives, grapes, wine, and citrus fruit.
The population of Ontario has been mixed for over 200 years in regards to race. Latinos make up a majority of the city’s residents, representing nearly 60% of the population. Less than 8% of the city’s residents have attained a Bachelor’s degree or higher, significantly lower than the national average.
Local incomes tend to be fairly close to the national average, which is somewhat lower than most Southern California communities. Roughly 15% of the city’s population lives below the poverty level, a number slightly higher than average city of its size.

Nearly 24% of Ontario’s residents live with one or more disabling conditions. This is slightly higher than the national average, but is not an unusual number for a city with a high percentage of its jobs in the manufacturing and agricultural fields. Of those who are disabled, an impressive 68.5% are able to continue to engage in gainful employment.
Like any other city, however, Ontario does have some residents whose disabilities don’t allow them to work. If you are in the area and are unable to work due to an injury or medical condition which is expected to last more than a year (or already has), it is strongly recommended that you contact an Ontario Social Security Disability lawyer right away.
The sooner you enlist an Ontario disability attorney to help you, the more likely you are to avoid going through layer after layer of the SSA’s appeals process.

Your Ontario Social Security attorney can help you set up your claim if you haven’t done so already. He or she can even communicate with your doctors or other health care professionals to make sure that they include the information the SSA needs in order to approve your disability claim.
While even an Ontario Social Security Disability lawyer can’t guarantee that your claim will be accepted, statistics have long shown that your best chance of having your claim accepted by the SSA rests in using the Ontario Social Security Disability Resources available to them.

Your Ontario Social Security attorney won’t charge you one thin dime unless your benefits are approved.
