I won my case

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

I received notification on the 22nd, that i had won my Adjudication and Review. The Decision was "Fully Favorable".

How long now is the "average" wait period for payments to begin? Any help on this will greatly be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Grace,

Unfortunately it varies for each case. If you have a lawyer that you used that the hearing, try contacting him or her. They typically find out the decision before you. Best of luck!

Hi There,

It really depends on the situation. Every case is different and there is no black and white answer for that. I would recommend speaking with your attorney if you have one.

Wishing you nothing but the best.

Had my hearing before the alj nov 29th 2018. I kept getting the message on my social security website that I had and hearing and judge was reviewing my file for ssi and ssdi. Got that message for months since the hearing. On Valentine’s Day I checked the website and this is what it says for the ssi and ssdi. A medical decision has been made and we are working to process your decision. Can anyone tell me if this means that I have been approved for my ssdi and ssi.

Hi Ruth,

It means they are still processing your claim. You should receive a letter in the mail stating a decision once one has been made. Best of luck!

If you have already been to an hearing and an attorney you had that no longer represent you did not turn in all of your medical evidence but you did.do you have a chance to win your case this time

Hi Rose,

Your award letter will be sent once the SSA makes a decision about your claim. In the letter, you'll find out the information about payments.

Hi Chuckie,

Congrats! Your awards letter should outline when you will begin to receive your benefits. Back pay typically comes about 4 months after you begin receiving your disability benefits.
