Hi Olga,
Benefits may not be paid based on how many conditions a person has, but they may be paid based on the ability to work, work history or income and resources.

Was wondering if I would qualify I have congestive heart failure, ESSENTIAL HYPERTENSION, MULTIFOCAL ATRIAL TACHYCARDIA (HEART BEAT DISORDER), HYPOXIA (LOW OXYGEN LEVELS), DIASTOLIC HEART FAILURE, DIABETES TYPE 2, SEVERE CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE, and MAJOR DEPRESSIVE DISORDER, RECURRENT EPISODE. I have several Doctors appointments weekly and with the kidney problem my function is down to 18 % which means soon on dialysis 3 days a week. so what do you think

Hi Misty,
You may be considered a little person, however you may not be eligible for benefits if your stature and any problems that come with it prevent you from working.

My spouse passed away and the pension I received is not enough for the rent bills. Can I be assisted in my
rental expenses.

Hi I have Sjogrens ( autoimmune disease) severe anxiety problem where I think I am going to die. My chest hurts my heart races and pounds. Sometimes at night I wake up from dead a sleep and my heart is racing I have taken many trips to the E.R. but everyone say's I'm fine. Which I don't believe them because I am the one who is feeling the symptoms and going through what I go through. This in turn causes severe depression. Because it has stopped me dead in my tracts. I was diagnosed with Sjogrens in 2016 and ever since I have not worked and other problems like severe anxiety and depression have manifest from this disease. I always had a problem with anxiety and depression in the past. I have insomnia I don't have insomnia. Sometimes I sleep but wake up every few hours. Sometimes I can't sleep. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea also but not sure how that works since sometimes I can sleep just fine. I have memory problems but not sure how severe. I've always been a hard working guy who loves my job so I'm not lazy but my house is a disaster and it is embarrassing. I can't keep up with the chores around the house even since I've been off work. I get overwhelmed easily with the task around the house that used to be so simple. I have a child who is 8 and I use to take care of him and work a full time job and do the chores to barely being able to do anything. When I engage in anything physical I can only do it for so long and then I have to rest or I get fatigued and can't do anything for a few days sometimes longer. And while that happens My body feels like it is just going to shut down and I will die. It's a mess and all I want really is my life back and to be able to spend time with my son and do the things I use to do.

Hi Ruth,

I'm so sorry to hear about what happened. I'm glad that you are thinking about getting back to work, even if it is only a couple hours a week. If you have any questions or concerns about getting back into the work force, I would recommend speaking with a disability advocate and they will be able to point you in the right direction: http://www.disability-benefits-help.org/form/free-disability-evaluation

Best Wishes,
Eric

Hi Heather,
I really would not say that as people of smaller stature may consider midget to be a pejorative term.
