I have children and their father has recently went for a hearing is waiting on a decision. I was told that the kids will qualify for benefits. I have several questions.
How is the amount determined?
What are the rules for the cutoff age to recieve benefits?
Do the children recieve back pay as well?
What steps if any do I need to take to set up their case?
If a child is 18 but still in high school do they qualify, and for how long?

If you are otherwise still eligible for social security benefits, they would not take your benefits away from you because of pregnancy.
I have multiple sclerosis and
I have multiple sclerosis and began receiving ss benefits last year because I am no longer able to function as a nurse due to my cognitive symptoms. My 2 children (10 & 13) from a previous marriage also receive benefits. My ex-husband (their father) committed suicide last month. My question is, will they also receive survivor benefits? Our household income drastically decreased when I could not longer work and now we have also lost his monthly child support payment. He not only paid child support, but helped buy clothing and helped with other incidentals for the children (sports fees, glasses, etc)

Im actually only askn for a friend. She has a child on ssi he is 16 but he is bein bullied at school and doesnt want to fo ro school anymore. They gave him the option of bein withdrawn n getting his ged. So my question is will his benefits stop if he withdraws from school?

No, his benefits should not stop if he withdraws from school. They will stop when he does turn 18 though.
My son was approved for SSI
My son was approved for SSI benefits and was owed back pay. He received the first installment of the money and then moved with his father. He is still owed back money from SSI. He now lives with both of us equally and I don't know how to go about getting the money.

If your son's SSI application stated his living situation is different than what it is now, I would contact the SSA and let them know. Regarding the back pay, the SSA usually pays SSI in installments, so you would get the next installment about six months after the last one.

hi my sons age 19 now (16) and 13 now (10) when their dad filed for disability, he had to have a hearing and was approved. We have been seperated for over 4 years. My 2 daughter's father
My 2 daughter's father is currently $35,000 behind on child support. He recently had a dibilitating stroke. i'm thinking now that he can't deal drugs he might have filed for disability. is there a way to find out, so that maybe his girls could benefit?

Unfortunately, you would need his written consent for the SSA to release any information to you. If he is awarded SSDI benefits based off of his work record, then your child may qualify for benefits based off of that.
