Hi there,
I'm sorry to hear about that! You may want to contact the SHA in your state, they may not have known that your income increased due to disability benefits.

I had my hearing yesterday. Really could not get feel for how it went dont know if I'm approved.my hearing lasted a hour and a half . When we came out my attorney said to me .. don't quote her but she's 100% sure I won. I don't want to get my hopes up to stressed to be let down right now . Can an attorney tell if I won my benefits?

Hi Alisha,
Unfortunately I could not say as we are not affiliated with the SSA and as such cannot give people much insight as to whether they will be awarded benefits.

Hi Addie,
Back pay is only given for the time at which you were entitled to benefits, but were not receiving them. So if you were disabled for a year before applying, or if you had to wait a year to be approved, you would be able to receive back pay. But if you work all your life and are approved in less than 5 months, you will not be entitled to back pay.
