I received two lump sum payments, but I have not spent all of the funds. I want to make a funeral arrangement and buy a car. How soon must I spend the lump sum payment.

Daughter just got first installment of SSI back pay. 3 questions: She has to do school online so all she needs for school is allowable expenses from dedicated account? Like, she has now broken 2 laptops because of her frustration, etc. (stemming from mental health diagnosis) Do checks if you get duplicates count as proof of where money from dedicated account was spent? Can monies spent on her for doctors, therapies, medicines during the multiple appeals get reimbursed to me from dedicated account?

You may be able to reimburse yourself for purchases made that would be able to be covered by the money in your child's dedicated account, but the best place to go to check would be www.ssa.gov or calling the SSA at 1-800-772-1213

I am suppose to receive back pay in lump some for medicate. was told it would take one hundred and twenty days. and have not recieved yet.
