Hi Keith,

The amount of hours you work per week does not matter. If you earn more than $771 per month, that could trigger a trial work period.

But how many hours per week could you work if you made over $100 less than what's stated? I'm trying to find out so I can try to get a job.

Hi Karen,

It does not matter how many hours you work, but you cannot make more than $880 a month, or you will enter into the Trial Work Period.

Hi Talisa,

You are able to work on disability as long as you don't exceed the monthly limit that the SSA deems Substantial Gainful Employment. In 2020, this amount is $1260/month

Hello, I get 724.11 a month for me being disabled but that isn't nearly enough to live on. I was offered a part time job at a dollar store doing easy work due to my injuries but I need to know how many hours I can work each week and not mess my disability up cause god knows I need it! Please help me figure this out... Thanks

Hi Marcus,

The number of hours you work does not matter, but your income does. If you make less than $880 a month, then your benefits should be fine .
