Is there a website where you can check the status of my claim

My SSDI and SSI says 2 out of 3 is complete. I filed on 10/16/2017 I have a severe back issues ( had a spinal cord stimulator put in 3/09/17 also have been out of work for 3 years.
SS has all my medical records for the last three years. I have seen social security doctors. What does Step 3 mean. Thank you

Hi Carolyn,

The three steps are the different screenings for disability. Basically, they are still reviewing your case and determining how disabling your condition is.

Hi Sara,

That does! As long as you provided enough medical evidence and documentation that your husband meets the compassionate allowance requirements, you should hear back within a couple weeks to a month (rather than a few months like other applicants). Best of luck.

This is the message I got when I checked status of my appeal:A medical decision has been made and we are working to process your decision. A Social Security Representative may contact you directly if we need any additional documents or information..is this a good indication of approval?

My hearing was March 7, 2018... The ALJ had my lawyer and myself sign amended onset date... From April to Aug bc I turn 50...
My lawyer said I was approved.

The site says Appeal Under Review a Medical Decision has been made etc...

Hi Sarah,

Sorry but that means your claim was denied. You can appeal the claim though. If you choose to do this, I would start the processes as soon as possible. Good luck!
