Direct Express 'Invalid Card Number'

So I'm hoping this is just something to do with today being the day most people get paid but when I call up direct express and put in my number it immediately says my card number is invalid. It worked fine a few days ago.

Is this something that happens or should I be worried?

Why my debit card saying in valid card number when I try to check balance using the last 4 numbers of my card it says use ur social security number then it works how can I use it like my old card using last 4 numbers thanks

When I dial direct express number it says hold on let me connect u to a agent nothing but silence on the phone it's not connecting

Dirrct express put my ssd pymt this month on my expired card of nov. 2017...then took it off a few hours later, now the money is gone when l call my new card it has zero balance and l cannot get through to direct express customer service...

My card status is saying fraud suspension, but my money was still put on my card , but it’s jusr not letting me use my card

We're not affiliated with the SSA or the federal government, so that's not something we'd be able to answer. You can try calling the SSA at 1-800-772-1213 or visiting your local SSA office.

I received my replacement Direct Express Card and it's not worked at a store or Atm. At the atm it keeps saying error code 68 unable to process? I called Direct Express and they said my chip on my card must be bad. That can't be it because I'm not able to make a purchase online. What should I do?

Hi Donna,

I would try ordering a new card to see if that solves the problem. If that does not, I would follow up with Direct Express again.
