I currently receive SSI for my middle son, it comes to me in the form of a check. How do I get this to be direct deposit into my checking account?

my mom just got a new checking account. she had her direct deposit switch from a account she had in another state switch to the state she opened her account in. they sent her a check in both accounts what will happen to her account when they find out they sent her two checks instead of one?

I just found out August 1st that my Checking Account from Bank of America was closed with out my consent at all and I had Direct Deposit for my SSDI going there through EFT but I missed August 3rd now. How long does it take to get my new Checking Account with Citizen's Bank for my SSDI sent there through EFT now?

Hi Cassandra,
I really couldn't say as different banks have different processing times and as such the time it would take you can vary. You may want to contact the SSA regarding this.

I am currently waiting for a check or my back pay and my check to come on September 27th I was wondering do I have to call Social Security Disability to set up the account does it get automatically put into an account?
