Supplemental Security Income (SSI)

I currently receive SSI for my middle son, it comes to me in the form of a check. How do I get this to be direct deposit into my checking account?

Hi Travis,
I really couldn't say as processing times can vary by bank, and as such you would receive benefits at varying times dependent on who you bank with. You may want to ask Chase about their policy regarding direct deposits.

I receive ssi for my daughter. My mom who just came back in my life felt like it was her duty to take the check from the residence I am getting my mail sent to. I need to be able to get through the week while me and my significant other parts ways. If I change to direct deposit tomorrow will it be on my card by the 1st or am I going to have to receive another check and risk getting that one taken also?

I'm sorry to hear about that!
It may take a bit for direct deposit to go through, and so you may receive another check for the following month.

I was suppose to receive a direct deposit yesterday from social security how ever they sent it to my old account which is close I been calling my bank and social security all day yesterday and today. Social security keeps telling me they sent it my bank keeps telling me they don't have nothing . Now I'm wondering if I am going to even receive a payment for the month of aug

Hi There,

You may still be able to get it. I would recommend speaking to a SSA representative and make sure that you have all of the most up to date banking information.

I am sorry to hear that. We are not affiliated with the SSA, so I can't say why, but I would recommend reaching out to the SSA immediately if you haven't received it by now.
