I received two lump sum payments, but I have not spent all of the funds. I want to make a funeral arrangement and buy a car. How soon must I spend the lump sum payment.
If you were awarded SSDI, then it will come in one lump sum. If you were awarded SSI, then it will come in 3 installments. If you need the payment now, you may be able to request it for a dire-need situation.

I recently went to court to appeal for my disability which I won but when I went through my phone interview today I got told that my back pay would be spread out to around 2000 than in 6 months around another 2000. I told the lady that i was kinda depending on the back pay so I could get my DL issues fixed and get a car plus find a place of my own. She told me that I could submit a letter asking for more finds. I'm not sure what to put in the letter.
