I received two lump sum payments, but I have not spent all of the funds. I want to make a funeral arrangement and buy a car. How soon must I spend the lump sum payment.

SSI lump sum back pay is generally divided into three payments of up to $2000, so you may get one lump sum payment of $2000 and one of $100 six months later.

It generally takes some time for the SSA to process new payment info, so it sometimes may stay unreleased. You may want to contact the SSA regarding this, you can get in touch with them at 1-800-772-1213.
My daughter got approve for ssi back in August she's in da hospital and only recieve $30 a month until she's release will she get da rest of dat money from sept , oct , nov & dec

You may want to contact the SSA with documentation of your need for those benefits, they may be able to expedite them.

It may take more time for many reasons, as every case is different, and they may want to take more time with that decision.
